Reacting to Carragher's side, Bellingham joked: "Don't know if there's enough energy in there. There's a lot of walking."
Bellingham's jibe could apply to a future teammate of his. Mbappe is reportedly considering a move to Madrid when his contract expires this summer. Messi, meanwhile, has been criticised in the past for his lack of running — although he has claimed that it's a way to conserve energy.
The Madrid star will feature for Los Blancos on Wednesday as they take on Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final. Carlo Ancelotti's side lost to Barcelona in the competition last year.
