The 27-year-old was labelled "lethal" by striker Romelu Lukaku after he scored in the first minute of their game against Como. His heroics have been noticed by FIFA agent Cristian Bosco Iuenedi, too, who believes Napoli will win the league title this year and that Scotland international McTominay will play a pivotal role.

McTominay will still have to prove himself in Italy, but he is potentially one of the best midfielders in Napoli's history. I'll throw down a provocation. Napoli are two points ahead of reigning champions Inter and have won six of their last seven matches. They are in action again on October 20, when they take on Empoli in Serie A.
